Learn how the transformation of services and the support provided is allowing for greater opportunities to self-advocate and make choices. You will gain insight into how the rights of people with learning disabilities can be defended and upheld. Participants will also learn the ins and outs of 504 and what is supposed to be done in teaching students with learning disabilities.
In this training, we will discuss many different pedagogy strategies for use in the classroom to enhance student performance. We will look at crossover learning, embodied learning, analytics of emotions, context-based learning, adaptive teaching, argumentation, incidental learning, stealth assessment and more.
Here we will discuss methods for using students’ cultural experiences in daily instruction. We will talk about embracing native language and students’ families as assets. In addition, we will emphasize creating a classroom environment that represents and respects all students. Lastly, we will discuss communicating clear high expectations for everyone.
With this training, we will train your educators to pass the teacher math content exam on the FIRST try. Strategies will be discussed and many practice problems will be reviewed and worked out while answering any questions from participants to ensure comprehension of the material. Once complete, educators will feel very confident on passing the exam.
